Swim Lessons

Good Shepherd is dedicated to ensuring everyone in Jacksonville knows how to swim.  In fact, the pool was built in 1921 (through a donation from the Cummer family) as a convenient way to learn to swim.  Today, the pool is affectionately known as "The Church That Taught a City How to Swim."

We currently have two swim instructors (Jennifer Walton and Kerry Wick).  They teach people of ALL ages how to swim and improve their swim techniques.

To learn more about Jennifer and Kerry, check out their bios on the "Instructors" tab.

If you are interested in signing up for a swim class, please contact the pool office (904-387-4298), or pool@gsjax.church.  We will be able to connect you with Jennifer and Kerry.
